Custom mid-engine 1963 Corvette C2 sells for $65,500

A custom 1963 mid-engine Corvette C2, which previously won Best GM Vehicle at the 2007 SEMA Show, has sold for $65,500 on the auction site Bring a Trailer.

The highly modified vehicle features a twin-turbo 6.5-liter LS1 engine positioned behind the occupants, a design concept originally envisioned by Zora Arkus-Duntov. The build includes a bespoke ladder chassis, a Mendeola five-speed sequential transaxle, and significant body alterations, including a widened and shortened fiberglass shell with the cabin moved forward by 24 inches.
