Serbian Prosecutors Investigate 12 Suspects in Organized Crime Killings and Kidnapping

The Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime has launched an investigation against 12 members of an organized criminal group. The suspects are accused of orchestrating the kidnapping and murder of Milan Stoković in Požarevac in October 2025, as well as the murder of Živko Bakić in Belgrade in January 2026.

Among those implicated are several individuals currently in custody in Belgrade, North Macedonia, Greece, and Belgium, while others remain at large. The charges include criminal association, murder, kidnapping, and the illegal production and trafficking of weapons, explosives, and narcotics. During hearings, one suspect, Aleksandar Nikolić, admitted to participating in the crimes and assisted in identifying other members of the group. Prosecutors have requested detention for all suspects and the issuance of international arrest warrants for those currently in flight.
