Custonaci to host Giornata Tricolore 2026 on Euro-Mediterranean relations

The town of Custonaci will host the ‘Giornata Tricolore 2026’ on September 26 at the Villa Zina Park Hotel. The event, titled ‘Scenarios and perspectives for a Euro-Mediterranean Italy,’ is organized by the Centro Studi Dino Grammatico and sponsored by the European Parliament’s European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group.

The meeting aims to examine Italy’s role within the expanded Mediterranean region and its position along the southern border of the European Union. Participants include various European, national, and regional institutional representatives.

Key speakers include Undersecretary of State for Defense Isabella Rauti, who will discuss security in the expanded Mediterranean, and MEP Ruggero Razza, President of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Maghreb countries. Other notable attendees include Deputy Carolina Varchi, Senators Raoul Russo and Roberto Menia, and Sicilian Regional Assembly Deputy Giuseppe Bica. Historical context will be provided by essayist Michele Rallo.
