Cuttable raises $20 million in Series A funding

Melbourne-founded adtech startup Cuttable has secured $20 million in Series A funding to expand its automated advertising platform. The funding round was led by Airtree, with participation from existing investors Square Peg, Rampersand, and Glitch Capital.

Founded by Sam Kroonenburg, Jack White, and Ed Ring, the platform uses a brand’s existing creative assets, such as product photography and video, to generate social media advertisements for platforms like Meta and TikTok. The company’s technology focuses on “ads that learn” by analyzing performance data, Shopify stock levels, and CRM insights to recommend future creative directions.

The capital injection will support product development and team expansion across Melbourne, New York, and San Francisco. Cuttable currently works with over 440 ecommerce brands, including lululemon, Cotton On, and Kathmandu. The company’s valuation is reported to be north of $142 million (US$100 million).
