CVM reveals 23 external members for tokenization working group
The Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) has disclosed the 23 external members of its Tokenization Working Group (GTT). This group is responsible for designing tests for tokenized assets using distributed ledger technology (DLT) through a regulatory sandbox environment.
The membership includes a diverse range of organizations, such as B3, Febraban, ABFintechs, ABcripto, and the Government of São Paulo. The composition spans the crypto sector, banking associations, financial infrastructure providers, and legal entities like the OAB/RJ.
A related event hosted by Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) in São Paulo brought together government officials and digital finance specialists to discuss these regulatory advancements. The discussions focused on the DLT Pilot Program, which aims to create clear rules for tokenized product issuances within the national financial system while reducing legal uncertainty and protecting investors through controlled testing.
