CXMT expands global DRAM market share to 10%
ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) has solidified its position as the world's fourth-largest DRAM supplier, capturing a 10% global market share in the second quarter of 2026. This represents a significant increase from its 4% share in the same period last year and 8% in the first quarter of 2026.
According to Counterpoint Research, the combined market share of the top three industry leaders—Samsung Electronics (38%), SK Hynix (25%), and Micron Technology (24%)—has decreased from 94% to 87% as CXMT expands its influence. This shift occurs amid a rapidly growing global DRAM market, driven by high demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers. The global DRAM market revenue surged 57% from the previous quarter and 385% year-over-year in Q2 2026.
CXMT reported revenue of 150.31 billion NDT (approximately 22.4 billion USD) for the first half of 2026, marking a nearly 900% increase compared to the previous year. This growth rate has outpaced major global competitors in the memory chip sector.
