Cyber to shut down CyberWallet and Passkey Wallet interfaces on Aug. 15

Crypto company Cyber has issued a warning to CyberWallet and Cyber Passkey Wallet users to move their assets before an August 15 shutdown. The shutdown will take both interfaces offline.

While tokens will remain on-chain after the interfaces close, the supported route for accessing and transferring balances will be removed. Users who fail to move their assets before the cutoff will be required to use a technical smart-contract recovery process, which Cyber stated it will not support.

Cyber has provided different instructions for each product: CyberWallet users should transfer supported tokens to their associated signer wallet, while Cyber Passkey Wallet users must transfer assets to an external wallet. SmartGas deposits in CyberWallet are an exception and cannot be withdrawn through the normal flow; eligible users will instead receive Surf coupons.
