Cyberabad Police launch traffic training and mobility datajam

The Cyberabad Police, in partnership with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and the World Resources Institute India (WRI), has launched several initiatives to address urban mobility and traffic challenges in Hyderabad.

A two-day training program was conducted for approximately 200 traffic police personnel. Led by Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh, the workshop focused on traffic engineering, road design, junction planning, and scientific data analysis. The goal is to enable officers to identify infrastructure deficiencies and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve road safety and traffic flow.

Additionally, the Cyberabad Police and SCSC hosted a Mobility Datajam, bringing together roughly 100 participants, including tech professionals, urban planners, and students. This event utilized diverse datasets to brainstorm solutions for congestion, public transport access, and ward-level mobility indicators. Participants developed prototypes and predictive analyses to assist government agencies in restructuring city services and enhancing urban liveability.
