CyberGhost offers major VPN subscription discounts amid French digital privacy debates
CyberGhost is offering significant discounts on its VPN subscriptions amid renewed public debate regarding internet regulations in France. Following the introduction of the digital majority law, which aimed to restrict social media access for users under 15, interest in VPN usage has increased. Although the French Constitutional Council annulled the specific law requiring age verification, the topic remains a point of discussion.
CyberGhost has introduced a two-year subscription plan priced at 2.62 euros per month, which includes two free months, representing an 82% reduction. Another offer provides a 26-month subscription for 2.19 euros per month. These plans allow users to protect up to seven devices and include a no-logs policy.
Legal precedents currently support the continued use of VPNs. A July 2026 ruling by the European Court of Justice clarified that the responsibility for preventing the circumvention of geo-blocking lies with the platforms themselves rather than VPN providers. Consequently, using a VPN to secure connections or mask IP addresses remains legal for adults in France.
