CyberLink launches AI Reel Creator for PowerDirector video app

CyberLink announced on 30 July 2026 that its PowerDirector video‑editing app for iOS and Android now includes an AI‑powered Reel Creator. Users can upload a single photo, choose from templates such as micro‑cinema, fast‑cut, time‑lapse, handheld or one‑take, and the AI instantly generates an eight‑second, music‑matched social‑media reel.

The feature is available immediately in the app’s premium subscription, priced at €41.99 per year. Created reels can be shared directly to platforms like Instagram and TikTok, or imported into PowerDirector for further editing with text, effects and additional footage.

The announcement was issued from Taipei, Taiwan, where CyberLink is headquartered.
