Cyberpunk 2077 reaches 100,000 concurrent Steam players, 40 million copies sold

CD Projekt RED's open‑world RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has again topped 100,000 concurrent players on Steam, the highest simultaneous count since 2023. The surge follows renewed interest sparked by the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime and a recent cross‑promotion with the game Wuthering Waves, prompting both new and returning players to join Night City.

The studio also announced that total worldwide sales have now exceeded 40 million copies, covering the base game and the Ultimate Edition. The Phantom Liberty expansion contributed more than 10 million of those sales, underpinning the title's turnaround from its troubled 2020 launch to a sustained commercial success.
