Cyberpunk 2077 sees Steam bestseller surge and 70% discount in Poland

CD Projekt RED has reduced the price of Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam by 70%, making the base game available for 59.70 zł until the offer ends on 9 July at 19:00. The discount coincides with a sharp rise in the title’s popularity: more than 101,000 players were logged in simultaneously, the highest concurrent‑player count for the Polish hit since 2023, and the game re‑entered Steam’s bestseller list.

The renewed interest follows the upcoming release of a new season of the "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" anime on Netflix, a major Steam Summer Sale promotion, and a crossover event with the game Wuthering Waves. CD Projekt RED reports total sales of over 40 million copies worldwide, including the original and Ultimate editions. Associate Game Director Paweł Sasko thanked the community on X, describing the concurrent‑player milestone as "crazy" and urging newcomers to try the game while the discount lasts.
