Cybersecurity firms launch new tools to accelerate cloud vulnerability remediation
Cybersecurity firms are introducing new capabilities to accelerate the remediation of cloud and AI application vulnerabilities.
Sweet Security has launched Virtual Patching, a feature designed to protect running workloads from specific vulnerabilities immediately upon identification. This allows security teams to enforce protection with a single click, blocking exploit attempts while engineering teams work on permanent fixes. The capability aims to close the window of exposure that occurs during the manual processes of developing, testing, and deploying software updates.
In a separate development, Keeper Security and Tenable have announced native integrations to streamline the transition from vulnerability detection to remediation. The integration allows cloud security teams to act on Tenable’s findings—such as rotating compromised credentials or enforcing Just-In-Time access—directly within the Keeper platform. Additionally, the partnership enables more secure scanning by allowing Tenable to retrieve credentials stored in Keeper rather than storing passwords or SSH keys within scan policies.
