Cybersecurity forum warns SMEs of increasing digital threats

A forum for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was held in Niederkrüchten to address the increasing threat of cybersecurity attacks. Organized by the WFG and the Interessenvereinigung Mittelständische Wirtschaft, the event emphasized that no company is too small or insignificant to be targeted by cybercriminals.

Experts from Digital Sicher NRW, the NIS2 contact point NRW, and PK Office GmbH provided insights into modern digital dangers. A key focus was increasing awareness to prevent security lapses in corporate environments. Additionally, the event highlighted the availability of a 24-hour hotline provided by the Cybercrime Competence Center of the NRW State Criminal Police Office (Landeskriminalamt NRW) for companies in the Rhine-Ruhr region facing cyberattacks.
