Cybersecurity incidents reported by multiple Japanese companies

Multiple Japanese companies have reported various cybersecurity incidents, including ransomware attacks, unauthorized access, and phishing scams.

Logic Vein Co., Ltd. confirmed that information belonging to 17,559 customers and partners has appeared on a dark web leak site following a ransomware attack. The company estimates that approximately 97,338 individuals may have had their personal data potentially compromised.

T&K TOKA Co., Ltd. reported that a ransomware attack has forced the suspension of some business operations. The company is currently investigating the scope of the impact in coordination with law enforcement.

Hamagin TT Securities Co., Ltd. announced that phishing scams led to unauthorized access and fraudulent investment trust transactions. The firm is urging customers to switch to passkey authentication to mitigate future risks.

Other incidents include Kyōiku Software Co., Ltd., which discovered ransomware encryption on a dormant rental server affecting 4,627 records, and App Co., Ltd., which reported that the personal information of 13 applicants and employees may have been viewed due to a plugin vulnerability.
