Cybersecurity professionals engage in immersive simulation exercises
Information technology leaders and security officers are increasingly utilizing immersive simulations to address evolving digital threats. In La Réunion, as part of the Cybermois initiative, Exodata organized a Capture The Flag (CTF) event titled Ghost Protocol. This immersive gaming experience allowed IT directors and security officers to simulate cyberattacks in a competitive environment, moving beyond traditional conference formats to test analytical skills and collective problem-solving.
This shift toward practical, hands-on training reflects a broader trend in the industry. The convergence of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity is becoming more pronounced as artificial intelligence, regulatory pressures, and geopolitical tensions complicate digital landscapes. Professional gatherings are increasingly focusing on the joint decision-making processes between Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) to manage these interdependent responsibilities.
