Cybersecurity requires integration between HR and IT departments

Cybersecurity is increasingly becoming a shared responsibility between Information Technology (IT) and Human Resources (HR) departments. Experts suggest that managing the employee lifecycle—including hiring, internal movements, and terminations—is critical to preventing data leaks and unauthorized access.

According to a survey by a global cybersecurity firm, 26% of corporate cyberattacks are intentionally caused by employees, while accidental human error accounts for 38% of incidents. Alberto Jorge, CEO of Trust Control, emphasizes that HR serves as a primary security filter by managing access permissions and fostering a culture of protection to reduce the company's attack surface.
