Connect broadband tests crown Swisscom and Deutsche Telekom as winners

The 2026 broadband and fixed network tests conducted by the magazine connect have identified top internet service providers in Switzerland and Germany.

In Switzerland, Swisscom secured its sixth consecutive victory, achieving a record-breaking score of 992 points. The provider was awarded an “outstanding” rating, outperforming competitors in both the national provider category and across the broader DACH region (Germany and Austria).

In Germany, Deutsche Telekom claimed the top spot with 953 points, also receiving an “outstanding” rating. The competition in the German market remains tight, with Vodafone following closely in second place with 943 points, and 1&1 in third with 941 points. Regional fiber providers were noted for high performance, with Deutsche Glasfaser reportedly exceeding the scores of the national leader in specific regional comparisons.
