Cyclades islands experience heavy rainfall in October

The Cyclades islands, including Naxos, Paros, and Donousa, have experienced significant rainfall and local storms during the latter part of October. Data from Weather Naxos-Paros indicates that October 2026 is developing into the wettest month for the Paronaxia region in the last decade.

Notable precipitation levels were recorded on October 28, with Lygaridia and Komiaki in Naxos and Naousa in Paros reporting high totals. Donousa saw particularly intense weather, recording 66.3 mm of rain within a two-day period on October 28 and 29. Since the start of the hydrological year on September 1, 2026, Donousa has reached a total of 110 mm of rainfall.
