Cycling accidents in Spaichingen and Winterberg result in injuries
Two separate cycling accidents involving young riders were reported in Germany.
In Spaichingen, a 14-year-old cyclist sustained minor injuries following a collision in a supermarket parking lot. The incident occurred around 16:30 when a 33-year-old driver attempting to park his vehicle collided with the teenager, who was overtaking the car on the right. The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, and police have opened an investigation into the accident.
In Winterberg, an 18-year-old cyclist from Fröndenberg was seriously injured after a fall at the Bikepark Winterberg. The accident took place on a slopestyle track around 15:50. According to preliminary findings, the individual lost control of the bicycle during a jump and landed on his shoulder. The rider was hospitalized with severe injuries. Witnesses noted windy conditions at the time of the incident.
