Cycling and pedestrian infrastructure developments in Kutina and Tuzla

New cycling and pedestrian infrastructure projects have been completed in Kutina, Croatia, and Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Kutina, the city has finished a 1,400-meter-long, 2.5-meter-wide pedestrian and bicycle path in Ulica hrvatskih branitelja towards Kutinska Slatina. Funded entirely by the City of Kutina for approximately 719,454 euros, this third stage of the project aims to connect the Repušnica area with the northern part of the city to improve safety for students and commuters.

In Tuzla, a new covered bicycle parking area and self-service station have been installed in the Bulevar neighborhood. This initiative is part of the ‘Panonsko-jadranska veza II – PA. CON II’ project, a cross-border cooperation program involving Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. The project, which is 85 percent funded by the European Union, has a total value of approximately 2.15 million euros and aims to develop sustainable tourism infrastructure by connecting regional routes with key tourist locations.
