Cycling events feature chainsaw supporters and amateur course intruders

During recent cycling events, unusual spectator and participant incidents drew attention. At the Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, supporters used chainsaws to create a loud, high-decibel atmosphere. Despite the intimidating appearance, the devices were modified for safety by removing the sharp cutting chains, leaving only the engines to produce noise.

In a separate incident during the Bretagne Classic, an amateur cyclist unexpectedly entered the professional race course. Rather than reacting aggressively, riders Benjamin Thomas of Cofidis and Liam Slock of Lotto-Intermarché used their water bottles to playfully spray the amateur as they passed him.
