Cycling events in Brescia and Venice promote sustainable mobility
Cycling events in Brescia and Venice promoted sustainable mobility and urban exploration during recent weekend activities.
In Brescia, approximately 400 people participated in the sixth edition of the Brescia Bike Fest as part of European Mobility Week. Organized with Fiab Brescia and various parent committees, the event allowed children and adults to navigate the city safely away from car traffic. The route included Piazza Paolo VI and concluded in the San Bartolomeo district, where participants viewed urban art through the Link Urban Art Festival.
In Venice, the ‘Venezia in Bici’ event drew 1,125 participants. The initiative offered 12 different itineraries ranging from the city center to the islands, covering historical villas, natural landscapes, and urban transformation areas such as the new stadium site. The program integrated cultural experiences, including street art, musical concerts, and family-oriented activities inspired by illustrated books. Participants also explored the industrial area of Porto Marghera, including the Heritage Tower.
