Cycling events organized in Istanbul and Düzce

Various cycling events are being organized across Turkey to promote sports culture and sustainable urban living.

In Istanbul, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) is hosting the Historical Peninsula Cycling Tour. Starting from the Yenikapı Bicycle House, approximately 1,000 cyclists will traverse a 19-kilometer route. The tour will pass through landmarks such as the Haliç coast, Balat, Gülhane Park, Sultanahmet Square, Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. Participants will receive maintenance support, t-shirts, and commemorative medals.

In Düzce, the municipality organized the ‘Hareketin Adı Bisiklet’ (The Name of Movement is Cycling) event. Around 450 participants completed a 5-kilometer route from Anıtpark to Merkez Park. The event, aimed at supporting the ‘Sports City Düzce’ motto, included a prize draw where participants won bicycles, helmets, balls, and sports bags.
