Cycling events scheduled in Belgium

Cycling events are scheduled in Belgium, including the Memorial Hubert Verhoeyen and the Grote Prijs Rik Van Looy.

On September 20, 2026, the Wielersportcomité Bavegem will host the Memorial Hubert Verhoeyen during the Bavegem fair. The race, which honors the late former local politician and cycling enthusiast Hubert Verhoeyen, will feature elite 2 and promise categories. The event also includes the Honor Prize of Alderman Jo Vermeulen.

The 8th edition of the Grote Prijs Rik Van Looy is also approaching, featuring a challenging 184 km course starting in Westerlo and finishing in Herentals. The race includes a mix of promise riders and World Tour professionals, such as Tim Torn Teutenberg from Lidl Trek and Tim Kielich from Visma Lease a Bike. The course includes technical sections that may favor breakaway riders.
