Cycling events scheduled in Monviso Park and Avezzano

Various cycling events are scheduled in Italy. On September 13, the Monviso Park will host ‘La balconata del Viso in bici’, a guided excursion for experienced riders using MTB, gravel, or e-bikes. The 40-kilometer loop includes 1,300 meters of elevation gain and passes through Paesana, Oncino, and Crissolo. The event is free but requires prior reservation.

Separately, on August 29, the ‘Cronoscalata del Salviano’ individual time trial will take place in Avezzano. Organized by Asd Ciclistica Ciociaria, the 6-kilometer race climbs toward the Sanctuary of Madonna di Pietraquaria with an average gradient of 4.2%. Local authorities have implemented temporary traffic suspensions and parking restrictions on the SR 82 and surrounding access roads to ensure athlete safety.
