Cyclist Killed at Alzenau Railway Crossing

A 43‑year‑old German cyclist was fatally struck by a train at an unprotected railway crossing in the Kälberau district of Alzenau on Tuesday morning at about 10:40 a.m. Police and a court‑appointed expert are investigating the cause of the accident. The cyclist was on a bicycle heading toward Michelbach when she entered the crossing and was hit by an oncoming Kahlgrundbahn train.
