Cyclists complete 250km trek to support youth mental health charity

Fourteen cyclists completed a 250-kilometer journey from Degioz in Valle d’Aosta to Gallarate in Lombardy to support the ‘Panchina dell’amicizia di Gio’ association. The trek involved nearly 3,300 meters of elevation gain and crossed through the Valle d’Aosta, Piemonte, and Lombardia regions.

The initiative aims to combat youth social withdrawal, bullying, and depression. The association was founded by Lara and Francesco Calderoni following the death of their son, Giorgio. The cycling route was designed to connect the first and last of eight ‘friendship benches’ established by the organization.
