Cyclone launches RT450 affordable two-cylinder maxi-scooter
The Chinese brand Cyclone has officially launched the RT450, a touring maxi-scooter designed to make two-cylinder engines more accessible. Released on October 13, the model is priced at 32,980 yuan (approximately 127.6 million VND), a price point comparable to many single-cylinder motorcycles.
The RT450 features a 398cc parallel two-cylinder engine (model LX2P64MQ) that produces a maximum power of 31.5 kW and a peak torque of 44.2 Nm. In practical tests, the vehicle has been shown to exceed speeds of 160 km/h, outperforming many 400cc single-cylinder competitors that typically reach around 140 km/h.
Key specifications include an 18-liter fuel tank and a five-year unlimited mileage warranty. The two-cylinder configuration is intended to reduce vibrations during long-distance riding compared to single-cylinder models. The engine utilizes premium materials, such as nickel-plated aluminum alloy cylinder liners.
