Cygames launches CygamesEdge brand and new title ‘Where the Seeds Fall’

Cygames has announced the launch of CygamesEdge, a new sub-brand specifically designed to focus on small-to-medium scale game development. The brand aims to leverage the company's existing expertise to facilitate rapid title development and release cycles while fostering innovation and creative freedom for smaller teams.

The first title under this new brand is titled ‘Where the Seeds Fall’ (also referred to as ‘Houraku no Kuni’), an action-adventure game developed in collaboration with ZEREO. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity lives upon a colossal World Tree to escape a corruption known as the Blight, the game follows a soldier encountering the ‘Fell Children’ and descending toward the earth.

The game is scheduled for release on November 5, with planned platforms including PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
