Cyient appoints Andrew Smith as chief operating officer

Cyient Limited announced that Andrew Smith has been elevated to chief operating officer, effective immediately. The move is intended to strengthen the company's global delivery operations, improve execution agility, and support the next phase of growth.

Smith will retain his role as Business Head for Transportation while taking on COO responsibilities. He brings more than 20 years of engineering and operational leadership experience from Airbus, Rolls‑Royce and Bombardier Transportation, and has been with Cyient for nearly nine years, overseeing its Transportation and Semiconductor businesses.

Chief executive Sukamal Banerjee said Smith’s “clarity, discipline and strong customer focus” make him well suited to drive operational excellence and scaling of delivery models, and thanked outgoing executive Prabhakar Atla for his contributions.
