Cyle Larin named Championship Player of the Month

Southampton striker Cyle Larin has been named the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for August. The Canadian forward secured the award after scoring in each of Southampton’s three league fixtures during the month.

Larin’s performances included scoring against Watford, helping secure a 3-1 win over Stoke City, and netting a brace in a 5-1 victory against Millwall. His second goal against Millwall, which involved flicking the ball over a defender before volleying it home, has also earned him a nomination for the Championship Goal of the Month award.
