Cynthia Erivo promotes ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ at New York Comic Con

Actor Cynthia Erivo attended the 2026 New York Comic Con at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on October 10 to promote the upcoming film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s fantasy novel, ‘Children of Blood and Bone’.

Erivo appeared on a panel alongside director Gina Prince-Bythewood and cast members Lashana Lynch, Amandla Stenberg, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Damson Idris, Thuso Mbedu, and Tosin Cole. For the event, she wore a navy asymmetrical maxi dress from Proenza Schouler’s Fall/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear collection, designed by creative director Rachel Scott. The garment featured a white floral pattern, sculptural fabric folds, tightly coiled fringe on the sleeve and hem, and silver grommets. The look was styled by Jason Bolden and paired with midnight-blue crystal heels and silver jewelry.

The film adaptation of ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ is scheduled for theatrical release on January 15, 2027.
