Cypress Cove Nudist Resort targeted by GTA 6 fan reviews

The Cypress Cove Nudist Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, has been targeted by a wave of coordinated fake reviews from fans of the upcoming video game Grand Theft Auto VI. The influx of spam follows leaks from August that appeared to show a nudist resort in the game that bears a strong resemblance to the real-life establishment.

Users have flooded the resort’s Google reviews with references to the game’s protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia, as well as mentions of binoculars and firearms. The resort management has been forced to issue public clarifications, stating, “THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE GUEST REVIEW,” to help actual customers distinguish between real feedback and gaming-related jokes.

Beyond the spam, the resort reported that some individuals behind the posts attempted to extort the business, requesting payment to have the fabricated reviews removed or altered.
