Cypriot President Nikos Hristodulidis's personal data allegedly leaked

Allegations have surfaced regarding a data breach involving the personal contact information of Cyprus President Nikos Hristodulidis and several government officials. Italian cybersecurity expert Antrea Mavila reported that leaked data, which includes phone numbers and email addresses, appears to match active numbers used by high-ranking authorities.

Mavila warned that this compromised information could be exploited for phishing, social engineering, and the distribution of malware. Cybersecurity officials in Cyprus are reportedly aware of the situation and are evaluating the leaked data according to established procedures.

Separately, reports indicate that efforts are underway to acquire a new armored vehicle for the President valued at 595,000 euros through direct negotiation rather than a public tender. Additionally, 12 armored limousines were rented from Germany for 140,000 euros to transport EU leaders and officials during Cyprus's EU presidency term.
