Cyprus adds €11 million to housing subsidies for young couples

Cyprus’ interior minister Constantinos Ioannou announced an extra €11 million for the state’s Housing Scheme. The funding will extend the subsidy programme to a further 277 applicants, all aged 41 or younger, allowing them to receive financial assistance toward purchasing a home.

The allocation responds to stronger than expected demand for the grants, which were already part of the government’s effort to help young people and couples enter the property market.
