Cyprus Civil Defence announces mandatory service registration

The Cyprus Civil Defence has issued a call for registration and enlistment for two years of service. Following a Council of Ministers decision, the mandate applies to all female citizens born in 2004 and all male citizens born in 1972 and 1973 residing in the Republic's territories.

Registration for women is scheduled to take place from October 19 to October 23, 2026. For men, the process will occur from November 9 to November 13, 2026. Enlistment will be conducted at Regional Civil Defence Directorates, local Civil Defence Stations, or Community Council offices, depending on the individual's place of residence.

Eligible individuals are required to present their national identity cards during the process. Specific registration hours and locations have been established for the districts of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta, and Paphos.
