Cyprus credit ratings to be assessed by DBRS and S&P in September
Two international credit rating agencies are scheduled to announce their assessments of the Cypriot economy in September. DBRS Morningstar will release its decision on September 4, followed by Standard and Poor’s on September 18.
Cyprus currently maintains investment-grade status across all rating agencies. In March 2026, DBRS Morningstar confirmed a long-term rating of ‘A’ with a stable outlook, citing strong economic growth, robust fiscal performance, a healthy banking sector, and a stable domestic political environment. Standard and Poor’s also confirmed an ‘A-’ rating in March 2026 with a positive outlook, anticipating continued strong growth.
Additional assessments are expected later in the year. Capital Intelligence Ratings is also scheduled to announce its decision on September 18. Furthermore, Fitch and Moody’s are expected to release their evaluations in November, with Fitch scheduled for November 6 and Moody’s for November 20.
