Cyprus faces mixed summer heat and afternoon storms

Weak low pressure and an unstable air mass will affect Cyprus, bringing generally clear conditions with occasional low clouds.

From tonight through Monday, intermittent afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, especially over mountainous and inland areas, with a chance of hail. Winds will be light to moderate (3–4 Beaufort), making the sea only slightly rough. Temperatures will hover around 20 °C inland and 16 °C at higher elevations, rising later in the period to roughly 33 °C in low‑lying areas.
