Cyprus Football Association Judicial Committee clarifies disciplinary procedures

Giannis Antoniades, President of the Judicial Committee of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA), has issued a statement regarding the committee's operations and the application of disciplinary regulations.

Following a structural change this season, the CFA has replaced the Sports Judge institution with a three-member Judicial Committee. Antoniades noted that the committee has already held four sessions and issued several decisions. He emphasized that the committee's rulings are based strictly on the disciplinary regulations voted on by the clubs themselves and official championship announcements.

In an effort to ensure transparency, Antoniades clarified that many penalties are codified within these regulations, limiting the committee's discretionary power. He called for cooperation between clubs and fans to ensure the proper administration of justice and the safe conduct of football matches.
