Cyprus fuel prices rank among the lowest in the EU

According to the European Commission’s weekly oil bulletin, Cyprus ranks among the countries with the 6th lowest prices for 95-octane unleaded gasoline in the European Union. As of late August, the average price for 95-octane gasoline in Cyprus was approximately €1.59 per liter, compared to the EU average of €1.94 per liter. The average price for diesel in Cyprus was recorded at €1.83 per liter, below the EU average of €2.06 per liter.

Within Cyprus, fuel prices vary by station. On August 27, the average price for gasoline was €1.599, with prices ranging from a low of €1.525 to a high of €1.685. Diesel prices averaged €1.846 across the country, with the cheapest stations offering it at €1.749 and the most expensive at €1.929.

Across the EU, Malta, Poland, and Bulgaria reported the lowest gasoline prices, while consumers in Germany, Finland, and the Netherlands paid the highest rates.
