Cyprus Ministry of Tourism announces nine Christmas Villages

The Cyprus Ministry of Tourism has announced that nine ‘Christmas Villages’ will operate across all provinces for the upcoming holiday season. The festivities are scheduled to run from November 21, 2026, through January 6, 2027.

The selected locations include Agros, Deryneia, Kakopetria, Kalopanagiotis, Kyperounta, Lefkara, Lofou, Steto-Agios Fotiou, and Fikardou. These sites were chosen following an evaluation of applications submitted under the Grant Scheme for Community and Municipal Councils within the ‘Heartland of Legends’ route.

Each village will feature festive decorations, wooden stalls selling local products and handicrafts, and experiential workshops focused on gastronomy and traditional crafts. Additional activities will include nature walks, cycling, and village tours. The initiative aims to strengthen the local character of these destinations and establish them as attractions for both domestic and international visitors.
