Cyprus expects scattered showers, thunderstorms and cooler temperatures

A seasonal low‑pressure system is bringing instability to the eastern Mediterranean. In Cyprus, the forecast calls for mostly clear skies early, followed by midday and afternoon cloud build‑up that will produce isolated showers and thunderstorms, especially over mountainous and interior areas. Winds will shift from light to moderate (3‑5 bft) and the sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures are set to reach up to 37 °C in the lowlands but will fall to the low‑20s inland as the system moves east.

In northern Greece, Thessaloniki is also expected to see temporary cloud cover with scattered rain and possible local thunderstorms during the same period.
