Cyprus Social Welfare Services warn of illegal daycare centers

Authorities urge parents not to rely solely on verbal assurances. Instead, they are advised to verify that any facility where they intend to enroll their children possesses a current and valid Registration Certificate issued by the competent services. This certificate is a legal requirement that ensures a center has undergone necessary inspections and meets all legislative standards for operation.

Parents can consult the official SWS website, which maintains lists of registered daycare centers. Additionally, the SWS encourages guardians to request to see the valid certificate directly from the center's management. The services have requested that anyone with information regarding illegal daycare operations contact them immediately.
