Cyprus to build new Day Center for People with Autism

President Nikos Christodoulides announced the results of an architectural competition for the construction of a Day Center for People with Autism in Cyprus. The facility will be built on state land in the Agios Dimitrios enclave within the Strovolos municipality.

The new center will cover approximately 740 square meters and is designed to support up to 30 individuals. Christodoulides emphasized that the project addresses a pressing social need, providing essential infrastructure for young people, adults, and families who manage significant caregiving responsibilities.

The winning architectural proposal, submitted by Chrysostomos Theodoropoulou, Eleni Livani, and Panagiotas Karamanis, was selected for its functional clarity, simplicity, and ability to create an environment of safety, autonomy, and tranquility for its users.
