Cyprus University Launches 2026 Entrepreneurship Competition

The Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Cyprus announced the Cyprus Entrepreneurship Competition (CyEC) 2026, organised under the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry. The competition invites Cypriot start‑ups, innovators and experienced entrepreneurs to submit proposals.

Two tracks are offered: the Accelerator track for early‑stage ideas (applications open 26 June 2026 – 4 September 2026) and the LaunchPad track for more mature businesses (applications open 26 June 2026 – 4 October 2026). Selected teams will receive mentorship, an acceleration programme or optional workshops, and will present at a final pitching event before a judging panel and public audience.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top two teams in each track, with a People’s Choice award sponsored by PanisNews. Over 290 applications have been received in recent years, with past winners including Malloc, Bolsterup, Heroes Made, IQ3Solar, Elysia Solutions and CertiLingo. The competition is sponsored by the Ministry and communication partner Digital Tree E‑Publishers. Applications are submitted via the official website https://cyec.org.cy.
