Cyprus University of Technology and Tsientang University expand digital heritage partnership

The Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) and China's Tsientang University are strengthening their partnership in the fields of cultural and digital cultural heritage. Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, a delegation from Tsientang University visited TEPAK from September 17–19, 2026.

Discussions focused on the UNESCO Chair for Digital Cultural Heritage and the MNEMOSYNE Research Center. The collaboration aims to combine Tsientang University's expertise in ancient materials, ceramics, and archaeology with TEPAK's advanced digital heritage technologies, including 3D digitization and photogrammetry.

Potential areas of cooperation include joint research projects, academic and student exchanges, and the long-term goal of establishing a joint international research laboratory. The Chinese delegation was led by Professor Enge Wang, President of the Tsientang Institute for Advanced Study.
