Cyril Brett Baker court proceedings delayed for medical report

Cyril Brett Baker, a 73-year-old man from Tamworth, appeared via video link at Sydney's Downing Centre District Court regarding multiple stalking and weapons offences. Baker has pleaded not guilty to two counts of stalking or intimidation, two counts of using an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, one count of dangerous driving, and one count of property damage.

Proceedings have been delayed as the court awaits a specialist medical report concerning Baker's health. The NSW Director of Public Prosecutions is seeking an adjournment until October to allow time to review the findings of a medical specialist. The court is also considering whether a temporary or permanent stay of proceedings is necessary based on the upcoming medical assessment.
