Cyril Shroff and IIM Ahmedabad launch GC Leadership Academy

Cyril Shroff, managing partner of the law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Cyril Shroff – IIMA GC Leadership Academy.

This research and executive development initiative is designed to address the evolving role of General Counsels (GCs), which is shifting from traditional legal advisory toward enterprise-wide leadership. The Academy will serve as a learning hub focusing on four core priorities: boardroom and enterprise leadership, the integration of business, finance, and strategy, readiness for technology and AI, and global peer learning.

IIMA Director Prof. Bharat Bhasker noted that the initiative helps legal counsels navigate the changing demands of modern business at the intersection of law, business, and governance. The Academy was established through a personal philanthropic commitment by Shroff and his family.
