Cystic Fibrosis Center opens at University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska
The University Clinical Center (UKC) of Republika Srpska has opened a new Cystic Fibrosis Center to provide comprehensive and modern healthcare for patients. The facility aims to ensure continuity of care, supporting patients from childhood through their transition into adult healthcare.
Olivera Ljuboja, head of the Clinic for Pediatric Diseases, stated that the center represents an investment in the lives and futures of young people. She noted that thanks to government funding, patients now have access to advanced therapies, such as Trikafta, which can significantly alter the course of the disease and improve quality of life.
Nikola Šobot, acting general director of the UKC, described the opening as a major step forward for both the institution and the patients. He highlighted that the center is a result of years of dedication by staff to help children with cystic fibrosis reach adulthood.
